The Manchester Trestle Table has had a unique history. These historic bases were originally made by J.E. Smith’s Sons Co., a nineteenth-century manufacturer of butchery machinery in Buffalo, NY. But when we found them two decades ago they had been repurposed as a vise stand.
We took molds from the original set and made a new pattern for the foundry and cast exact replicas, which we patina to make them indistinguishable from the originals. All of the castings poured at OK Foundry have a significant recycled content, which is important to us.
