Fern & Roby approaches audio as a system rather than a collection of individual components. Our focus is on how equipment interacts within a room, and how sources, amplification, and speakers work together to create coherent and enjoyable sound in real listening spaces.

Our role sits between manufacturer, dealer and system builder. We’ve curated a group of brands & products selected for their performance, reliability, and long-term serviceability & value; as a Richmond-based audio manufacturer, guided by these same standards, we design and build our own components, isolation furniture and audio accessories.

All of this means we are well-positioned to help clients navigate decisions around system matching, setup, and placement. Hi-fi is complex territory, and we understand how changes at one point in the chain affect the whole.

Our goal—for ourselves and for our clients— is to end up with an audiophile-grade system that feels stable, natural, and consistent over time.
